Learn More About Your French Tutor
Raised in a remote, fully francophone region of Québec, Kathleen grew up in an environment where French was the language of everyday life and English was something she encountered only in school and media. Knowing early on that she wanted to experience other parts of Canada and strengthen her English, she joined a university language exchange program that brought her to Alberta for a summer—an experience that not only expanded her language skills, but also led her to meet the man who would later become her husband.
Over the years, Kathleen built a diverse professional background across several fields, eventually becoming the owner of her own service company. In that role, she naturally gravitated toward training and supporting staff, discovering a strong ability to teach, explain, and guide others with clarity and patience. She further developed her communication skills through work as a medical and standardized actor. Kathleen also gained hands-on tutoring experience while working for a private company, as well as through teaching dog safety programs to elementary school students.
With her daughter soon graduating from French school, Kathleen felt the timing was right to fully dedicate herself to education and establish a tutoring service. Le Chat Savant French Tutoring reflects her love of animals, her appreciation for learning, and her deep francophone roots.
